Medical Definition of PUBOFEMORAL LIGAMENT
: a ligament of the hip joint that extends from the superior ramus of the pubis to the capsule of the hip joint near the neck of the femur and that acts to prevent excessive extension and abduction of the thigh—called also pubocapsular ligament
